Serbian Roma Youth Association

On the occasion of 2. August – European Holocaust Memorial Day for Sinti and Roma, Serbian Roma Youth Association issued the statement urging Serbian authorities to officially declare this date as Remembrance Day for Roma victims of genocide during World War II. We also called on the relevant ministries to include the history of Roma and their suffering in the school curriculum. This statement had significant media coverage because it was published in several national newspapers.
